Saddlers Court Melton Mowbray

Design requirements: Keystone Developments the retirement building specialist based in Boston, Lincolnshire, appointed DRGD after a successful
3-way pitch based on the quality of work in my portfolio. I was approached to provide some concepts for a new development of retirement homes set in the heart of Melton Mowbray. The development, which is called Saddlers Court, is inspired by the history of Melton Mowbray and its association as the hosts of the very first Grand National horse race and the locations equestrian history.

Creative response: To maintain Saddlers Court own unique individual nature the development was given its own identity, a logotype was created to tie in with the development which would be used across the range of printed material that will be created to promote the development. The starting point for the project was an information pack folder with inserts which were designed to hold the various information pieces together.

Printed collateral: It was deemed early on that the quality of the print was paramount as an indication of the quality of the properties that are on supply. With this in mind the folder was printed on a classy matt stock with an emboss applied to the cover horse-shoe image. The folder itself doubles up as a brochure and so folds outward to reveal 4 pages of information about the location and the qualtiy of the finished buildings.

Moving forward: With the show home now open and available for viewing, we are currently improving awareness of the development with a focused mailing to people of the retirement age and exclusive advertising in the local press.

Client Comment

"Dan has produced some excellent creative work for Longhurst Group. From concept, to design and completion, he has been inspiring as well as patient and reliable! The promotional items he has produced have been of a high standard and delivered on time. They have also been well received internally by staff and board members; as well as externally; helping to deliver the leads we need to sell our apartments."
