Boston College Prospectus

Boston College Campaign: Almost everything we do in life involves our hands; for some of us, our hands are the tools of our trade! We create with them, care with them and communicate with them. We’d like you to think of Boston College as a place to come and focus on your ambitions and your goals, preparing you to make a mark as individual as you are on the world.

Design requirements: Having been responsible for the rebrand of Boston College in my previous employment, DRGD was approached by Boston College to assist them in the design and production of their 2007-08 Full and Part-time Prospectus. The design itself was required to be an evolution on their existing theme of 'Make Your Mark' whilst drumming home the importance of our hands being the tools of our trade.

Creative response: Building on the existing hand theme, we pushed the design into a more modern and creative direction. The use of white space enhances the contrast and the brightness of the coloured text, which promotes an aspirational feel to the document by listing the wealth of courses and knowledge that can be learned at Boston College. To accentuate the idea of the 'Make Your Mark' strapline a large thumbprint was Spot Varnished onto the cover so in natural light the thumbprint varnish shines to bring the document to life.

Moving forward: With the Prospectus design complete we are now in the process of producing an Audio CD of the Prospectus and begining an advertising campaign to push forward the benefits of attending Boston College to further your career.

Client Testimonial

"We have been very pleased with the creative approach and final look of the design work that Dan has produced for us and have received some great comments not only on the look of the finished prospectus but also on the wow factor that the designs create when displayed in large format for bill board posters and on exhibition kit. Dan is a very easy person to work with, and is very customer focussed in his approach, showing flexibility, and going that extra mile to meet tight deadlines. I certainly hope to work again with Dan in the near future."
